The advantages of the Tado thermostats are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Easy installation;<\/li><li>The temperatures in each room can be set separately;<\/li><li>Easy remote control via the Tado app.<\/li><li>Thermostatic valves can be set with child lock.<\/li><li>Humidity per room is measured.<\/li><li>Climate comfort is tracked.<\/li><li>Set time schedules via the app.<\/li><li>Regular software updates with new features.<\/li><li>API functionality.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A (big) disadvantage of Tado is that you have to pay for the geolocation function. This function is included in Auto-Assist for which you have to take out a subscription. Based on geolocation, the thermostat is automatically turned off when everyone is away from home. You can enable this function for an amount of approximately \u20ac 25.00 per year. For a product where you pay quite a bit of money, I expect this to be included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, a plug-in has been made for Tado so that you can operate it in Domoticz. In combination with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bjorn-meijer.nl\/en\/9wte\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Life360 plugin<\/a> you can turn the thermostat on and off automatically via geolocation. The Github page explains how to install the Life360 plug-in in Domoticz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-stap-1-installeer-de-life360-plug-in\">Step 1 \u2013 Install the Life360 Plugin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Install the <a href=\"http:\/\/life360\">Life360 <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bjorn-meijer.nl\/en\/9wte\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">plugin<\/a>. You will need this for your dzVents script later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3 \u2013 Write down the required Idx&#039;s from Tado<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Write down the Idx of light switch&#039;<strong>heating turned on<\/strong>&#039; (in my case 16) and from light switch thermostat (H). This indicates whether the thermostat is switched on manually or not. The device with Idx 95 is the switch of the Life360 plug-in which indicates whether you are at home (On) or not (Off).
